Family Life

Lessons

I woke up again this morning. …and the slap to my face as reality hit was just as hard as it was yesterday. …but today, I feel just a little bit less alone. Yesterday, Just as I was beginning to feel that there was no hope, no connection to God, and indeed no connection to [&hellip

love of a lifetime…

I met my husband on February 22, 1997…from that day on, we literally were only a part from one another for a few days at the most. He became my best friend, my lover, my everything. We had a family together and were blessed beyond measure. He was diagnosed with stomach cancer on July 7th [&hellip

Inside Out

”Then the Lord said to him, ’Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. You foolish people!’ ” Luke 11:39-40a A few years ago, I led a Bible Study for Middle School girls. When they moved to High School, I was able [&hellip

All Knowing

Just before my husband deployed, my Bible and (expensive) camera got doused with a bottle of water and both were ruined. I was bummed about my camera since it would be expensive to replace. However, I was heart-broken over my Bible. I had been using it for 7 years! It was compact and so I [&hellip

”In the course of their journey he came to a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. She had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the Lord’s feet and listened to him speaking. Now Martha, who was distracted with all the serving, came to him and said, ’Lord, do [&hellip

Starting Out

In my life, God has had to be very bold when teaching me things. I guess you could stay that I’m a little stubborn or hard headed and like to take the reigns. He gently and not so gently reminds me that He is in control and His plan is always better than my own. [&hellip

How it Began

My story begins when I was born, December 25th, 1984. It was a Tuesday in Amman, Jordan. My parents, both Muslim-born and raised, brought up my three siblings and I to be kind and loving, and to think of others. We had a great and normal childhood. During my 6th grade year, they decided that [&hellip
