What is Scott doing right now?
What does he see?
What does he hear?
What does he feel?
What does he smell?
What is he experiencing?
Does he see me?
Does he miss me?
Does he want to talk to me?
Does he even care about Earthly issues?
Is he actually “watching over” me and Presley?
Is he just a spirit right now, waiting to be joined with his perfected body on judgement day?
Can he talk, hug, smile, laugh, converse, shake hands, eat food, play drums, shoot guns, use flashlights?
Does he recognize loved ones?
Does he have any jobs or roles to fulfill?
What is heaven like?
What does eternity feel like?
What does it mean to not have time?
If we knew the answers to these questions and what was going to happen to us when we died, there would be no need for faith.
There is a feeling I love to experience here on Earth. The feeling of anticipation. To me, sometimes it is more fun and exciting to anticipate and plan a vacation than the actual vacation itself.
Faith is the anticipation of the greatest “vacation” we could ever fathom. So anticipate your experience in heaven. Plan it. I can assure you, you will not be disappointed! What we can imagine is pretty tiny compared to the reality of complete paradise. Our tiny brains couldn’t possibly get a full grip on streets of gold and no more tears. Whatever it is, whatever that’s going to be, we want to be a part of it! In order to be part of it, we have to have faith!
Faith that I will see Scott again! Faith that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so we can live eternally with him!
So I ask you, if you believe with all your heart and all your mind and all your soul that there is something that is going to be the most amazing experience anyone could possibly imagine… How could you not shout it from the mountain tops? How could you not tell everyone you came into contact with about it?
Or on the flip side, if you believe that there is a hell and people ARE and WILL be going there, how could you not tell them about the love of Jesus?
How much do you have to hate another person not to tell them about your faith? How much do you have to hate someone to not tell them about the experience you are going to have when you die?
If I knew that you were about to get hit by a train, there would come a point that I would have to jump in to save you… and this is way more important than that!
“This is your calling. Can you hear it?”
In His Grip.
