No Love

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die. Where you invest your love, you invest your life.

– Mumford and Sons

Even before I began to tell the story of Lindsay and I, I knew there was a love story to tell.

I knew how great the love was… is.

Even in the hospital I began to reflect on the love story Lindsay and I shared in.

I just kept thinking… wow… God you really gave me a great love story.

After she past away, I knew I wanted to share it with whoever would listen.

Every time I thought about our hand in hand walk down this road together, I saw something greater.

I could feel the love that we shared because I lived it, but beyond that I felt something even greater.

Every memory I had, I found myself saying…

God, thank you for that… what a blessing!

It didn’t take me long to realize that there is a greater love story to tell…

I gave my life to Christ a long time ago, I gave my whole heart to Him. If He holds my heart, then any love I share with anyone has to go through Him.

Every blessing in my life, comes from Him.

Everything I am today is because of Him.

God invested His love in all of us before we even had a chance to breath.

He sent His one and only son to die…

He loves me and Lindsay so much that He not only blessed us with a love story that I will carry with me for the rest of my life, but because His “one and only” endured the most horrific death for a purpose beyond any comprehension, I can rest that Lindsay is forever healed, forever beautiful, forever perfect and my boys will see their mommy again.

No love compares to the greatest love story that you and I are all a part of.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, I ask that you look within. Look down the hall at the night light glowing through the crack of your little one’s room, look at your spouse in the eye, look at anyone that means anything to you and imagine if you were gone tomorrow…

Would you see them again?

Would they know the greatest love story?

Gabe
